Subscriptions — find them, watch them, cut them

PES detects repeating charges, totals what they really cost, and flags the quiet price increases.

Last updated July 31, 2026

01

The detector

The Subscriptions tab reads your ledger — manually entered, imported, or bank-synced, all the same — and surfaces charges that repeat: cadence from weekly to yearly, status from active to lapsed, and the next expected date. It needs a few months of history to see the pattern; the more ledger it has, the sharper it gets.

02

What they really cost

The header does the math you avoid: the monthly total, the count of active subscriptions, and the annualized figure — the number that makes people cancel things.

03

Price-change flags

When a subscription’s amount moves, PES flags it — old price, new price, and when it changed. The quiet $2 increases stop being quiet.

04

Not a subscription?

Mark false positives Not a subscription and they move to a Hidden section — restorable any time. Detections are pattern guesses from your ledger; confirm details with the merchant. It’s information, not financial advice.
