Budgets

The Budget tab sets monthly amounts by category, with Left to assign keeping the arithmetic honest. Copy last month starts each month in seconds, and rollover carries what a category didn’t use into the next month when you want it to.

Or let PES propose it: Recommend a budget builds a full budget from your real spending — each category gets the median of your last few months, trimmed where there’s give and held at your actual recurring bills where there isn’t, with a plain reason on every line. Edit or skip any line; nothing changes until you apply. Once a budget exists, a category running well over its basis two months straight gets a quiet “re-recommend?” nudge.

Amber, not alarms

Going over target shows in amber — information, not a scold. The budget exists so you decide on purpose; it isn’t a parent.

Recurring bills

The Recurring tab lists the charges that repeat — detected from your ledger with estimated monthly cost and what’s coming up next. Upcoming bills also surface on the Overview, so the month’s obligations are visible before they land.
