Add your accounts
Open Finances and add each account — checking, savings, investments, credit cards, loans — with its current balance. Debt accounts also take an APR and minimum payment, which power the payoff planner. Update balances by hand whenever you check in, or let a bank connection keep them fresh.

The Overview
The Overview tab rolls everything into one net number — assets minus owed — plus this month’s activity, upcoming bills, and Net worth over time. PES snapshots your balances weekly, so the line grows the longer you run the system. The net number also rides on Today, one glance from the plan.

Reports
The Reports tab draws the picture: a money-flow diagram for the month (income in, categories out), cash flow across the last twelve months, and category and merchant breakdowns with period-over-period deltas. Where the money goes stops being a feeling.
